RSL, NUL Strengthen Ties
Relations between Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) and the National University of Lesotho (NUL) were strengthened with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
The MOU covers various areas of cooperation, including laboratory analysis, research and publication, education and training, exchange of knowledge and information, graduate internships, mentorship, and recruitment. It also includes trade-related advocacy, guidance for NUL students on topical tax research areas for their undergraduate and graduate projects, access to data from tax-related research studies, surveys, and questionnaires, as well as awards for best academic performers, innovative ideas, and viable research outputs.
In her remarks, RSL Commissioner General, Mrs. Mathabo Mokoko, stated that the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding marks a significant milestone in the collective commitment to fostering collaboration in areas that will drive inclusive knowledge creation, enhance professional development, and contribute to national development.
The Vice-Chancellor of NUL, Professor Olusola Fajana, expressed that the occasion was a testament to the fruitful partnership between the two organizations. He emphasized that this collaboration would go a long way in strengthening knowledge sharing and research efforts between RSL and NUL.
