On Monday, the Commissioner General, Mrs. Mathabo Mokoko, met with the Portfolio Committee on the Economic and Development Cluster of the National Assembly of Lesotho for a strategic engagement session.

During the meeting, Mrs. Mokoko presented the RSL Strategy 2024–2027, known as “Lesokoana,” highlighting its goal to "positively impact Basotho’s livelihoods" by investing in people and technology. She emphasized that with the support and understanding of the RSL strategy by members of parliament, they could play a pivotal role in fostering Lesotho’s economic growth.

The Chairman of the Portfolio Committee on the Economic and Development Cluster, Mr. Sello Hakane, commended RSL’s efforts to raise awareness about the organization’s strategic and business focus. “There is a need for more engagements to enable the committee to fully understand the RSL’s strategic priorities and to support them in areas relevant to our role,” he stated.

The session also included an overview and update on the enactment of tax legislation, covering the Tax Administration Bill, Income Tax Amendment Bill, and Value Added Tax Amendment Bill.
